OVERTONE SOFTWARE RELEASES MANAGETONE™ SUITE BASED ON NETWORK APPLIANCES' ADVANTAGE DEVELOPER PROGRAM, Manage ONTAP and Data ONTAP

BETHESDA, Maryland --- November 5, 2003. Overtone Software, Inc. a leading provider of Enterprise Storage Management Software, significantly broadened their portfolio of offerings last week with the announcement of Managetone™ 2003 for Network Appliance and Managetone for MS Exchange™ 2003. These two new offerings complement the successful announcement of their foundation product released first quarter 2003, Managetone™ 2003 Enterprise Edition, which was met by enthusiastic customer demand and received numerous accolades in both the Federal and Commercial marketplace. According to one customer, Rose Dubose of Army's Military Traffic Management Command, "Managetone is an easy to use, fast HSM solution for both storage and as, importantly, files accessed for retrieval. The user interface is intuitive and the implementation went without a hitch."

These solutions enable customers to create a flexible storage infrastructure that addresses a variety of data and storage needs for today's information-intensive business. These new software components further extend the Overtone storage management software portfolio for application data in mission- and business-critical environments for archive and reference purposes, and for enterprise-wide or workgroup and departmental requirements.

An active member and participant in the NetApp program since their inception in 2001, Overtone Software has developed and implemented on behalf of their clients a unique suite of Storage Management Software products leveraging the foundation resident in Manage ONTAP, NetApp's API to their Data ONTAP operating environment. Thus, Overtone has accomplished what others have failed in, by developing a standards based Hierarchical Storage Management solution designed to assist the Data Center Management and Storage Administrator to optimize the utilization of their storage resources in a real time policy-based fashion.
